We are a busy west Knoxville veterinary practice that is seeking an energetic and self motivated full time receptionist. Our doctors and support team believe in providing the best care to every patient and pet parent. We are searching for someone who has a pleasant demeanor, is self-motivated and has exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
The job demands a motivated and efficient client-care representative with a cheerful attitude. Your official title is receptionist, but the job covers much more than answering phones. Receptionists at Northshore Animal Hospital are the first point of contact with clients, so we expect our receptionists to make a positive lasting impression. Your duties will include greeting clients, managing appointments, maintaining office records, and acting as a liaison between our clients and doctors.
To succeed with our office, employees must be energetic, attentive to detail, a team player, and willing to learn on the go. The right candidate will also be friendly and ready to go the extra mile to provide the best care to our clients.
Full-time employee benefits include health-care coverage for you and your pet, uniforms, retirement package, paid time off and AFLAC.
As of now, the schedule would include working 4-10 hour shifts (7:30 am to 6:00 pm) one week and the following week work 3-10 hour shifts with 1- ½ day during the week and Saturday morning. VETERINARY TECHNICIANS/Assistant Job duties include animal restraint and handling, assisting veterinarians with patient care, treatment and surgery, monitoring hospitalized pets, preparing prescriptions, performing routine in-house lab work, and having a primary focus on communicating with clients on medications and technical information. Some weekend and holiday work is required, afternoons are a must. We are looking for a friendly, well educated person that has a desire to educate clients and work in a team environment. Full time offers vacation, simple IRA, AFLAC, and health insurance benefits. Licensed technician is preferred, but will consider Assistant with experience only. ANIMAL CARE Job duties include: - Preparing food and feeding the animals - keeping animals clean and bathing them - exercising dogs in a yard or taking them for walks - cleaning out kennels and cages - Basic skills in animal care and well-being - Housekeeping skills (Mop, Vacuum, general cleaning include poop scooping) Must be 18 years old. Individual should be reliable and responsible. Weekends and holidays are required. You may be required to work every weekend…please do not apply if you are not willing and able to do this! Hours and work schedule may vary. Willing to work around school schedules...can be full time in summer and go to part time in fall. No position open at this time.
